Dear all,
My client is forcing me to go-live and run the payroll for December without legacy payroll data upload (INLK payroll) but they still wants annual reports to be generated from SAP like form 12A,form 16.
so I am in the confusion can you guys guide me ..they are telling that they can provide all payroll legacy data in january and then I can upload that.can we do the same ?what will be the implications of doing this.
Regards,
Raj
Thanks Rk.

Yes, you can do through upload Payroll data if client is ready to provide you.
Require to upload T558b and T558c tables incase of mid year go live and run payroll with INLK schema.
For india uploading the Above tables sap stand program is there "HINUULK0".
format of those tables you will get in SPRO>Legacy Data Transfer with help.

Hi,
Try to convince them that actual go live will be only in Jan i.e. after they give you legacy data, that because when you run INLK first the payresult tables rather RT tables are populated and when you actually run payroll the results for taxation, exemptions etc are matched properly for output of form 16 etc.
if you run payroll and as there are no results from april onwards the system will not be able to calculate/match up tax and other statutory deductions and once you go live with this there will be repercussions of this in system,
say it is the SAP Best practice to populate INLK first and then go for actual payroll.

Hello,
I think Salil ,Rk you are right.
but I tried to convince my client how critical data upload is but they are insisting on getting this months
payslip in SAP in production client.I am thinking about 2 possiblities,
either we should leave INLK upload (because we have not yet got INLK data) and tell client to take their annual report in there legacy system for this tax year .
or last thing can happen is we will go live in hurry and if results comes wrong then they will decide to take payslip from legacy.
so now i will have april 2011 to nov.2011 data uploaded through inlk and december live result which cant be posted and i have to
shift my go-live date to 1 jan i.e. we will run january paryoll as first payroll in SAP.will this be Ok...please suggest..
Regards,
Raj
Yes, U do that
Upload the legacy data From April to Dec through INLK and then go live in Jan and they can have the annual reports at the financial year.
To my experience for Indian payroll INLK is not a great solution.Manual running payroll from April to DEC is suggested but it takes huge task to compare and match the Legacy payroll results and SAP results
Best Regards,
Hi,
Hope you have configured all payroll senerio in testing and is error free.
Without legecy date how can u maintain master data for payroll run and for form 16 etc.
Now as you client asking for golive upload all highring info type through BDC with the help of Abaper and check the paslip.
But make sure salary for each group must be same till dec from the date of joining, if there are any change in sal for certain employee please bifercate those employee and run separately as per my knowledge.
Thanks

We can run payroll for DEC Period before Go-Live.When is your Go-Live date. After Go-Live no way we can upload the Legacy results using INLK Schema
Two ways we can go, either upload all the legacy data before running Live payroll in the DEC period or Run manually Payroll in SAP month by month From April to November Before Go live in December
That the only 2 ways we can do to get annual reports
