Hi, I am trying to install web as 6.4 Java on win2k3. Central Instance on one server, Oracle DB on second server. I went through the 3-step distributed installation process successfully. But when I typed in http://localhost:50000, I got error of Java can not unzip com.sap.engine.docs.examples.
I went to visual administrator, I saw a bunch of red crosses under services->deploy->servlet_jsp.
What went wrong? Is it possible that I re-deploy some of the applications like examples separately without re-installation?
Any suggestion is highly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Natalie,

It would be helpful if you pasted the stack trace of the exception you got when requesting http://localhost:50000. Also, having a look in the engine logs (/usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE>/j2ee/cluster/server<N>/log/defaultTrace.trc) could give you some hint about the problem.

Yes! You can find the application archives in /usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE>/SDM/root/origin/sap.com/<app-name>/SAP AG/<version-number>. Just use the Visual Admin, Telnet console, or SDM GUI to deploy the *.ear files.
Hope it helps at least a bit!
