Text Display for Characteristic outside Keyfigure structure in the columns

Dear Experts

I have a characteristic 0calquarter in the columns area. It is outside the KF structure. I clicked it to look for the place where I can insert a text variable but appears to be no such setting in the query designer. The 'description' field does not allow text variables. Seems like only KF description fields allow text variables.

I need to display the Calquarter header as the equivalent Fiscal year quarter. The displayed value should be the key value.

Kindly throw me some clues. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Best regards

Pascal

Although there is no icon for text variable there, did you try to add it manuelly to the definition of it?Try to write "&0T_CQUAT&" in the definition of 0calquarter.This is the text variable taking the input of the user input for 0calquarter.

Sorry Güneş BÜYÜKTANIR,

Please could you kindly elaborate.

I am trying to show the Header of the characteristic in the Columns outside the KF structure. I think you mean the text description of the characteristic . My requirement is not this. Its to display the header values of the data Columns.

Thanks.

Hi Pascal,

Well...I try what I wanted to describe and it does not work.So forget about it.

I firstly thought that it might work but after I found the link, I realized that your requierement was impossible. That's why I edited my post and wrote upps.

Just check the link and see text variables are not used for characteristics, as you told.
