Reports don't work anymore.

Hello all, I'm currently running sap b1 8.8 pl09, and am trying to upgrade to 8.81 PL06. It seems ALL string (nvarchar) UDFs in the B1 have been converted to Memo field type in 8.81 - please see link for a screenshot.

Does anyone know if this is a documented change in the newer version of SAP? None of the reports work now...

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Avelino! It's a huge step in the right direction. Our SQL has always been 2005 though, does anyone know why this would change from 8.8 to 8.81?

Hi Lazo

B1 has created the string UDF's as Nvarchar(MAX) for a long time now.

The way to get them to the correct length in the database is to add them in a Key via UDF maintenance ot to do the report based on a view or SQL command where these fields were CAST to the correct length..

Prior to 8.81 this was only necessary for fields that Crystal needed to join tables or do selections on but in 8.81 it seemed to have problems with all UDF's.

This 8.81 problem has been fixed in 8.81 PL09 so now you only need to fix the fields that didn't work pre 8.81.

Hope this helps

Hi,

Have you tried to change them back to previous setting?

Thanks,
