Dear Gurus,

we are making production order through co01,

we want if part is missing system should not allow us to save the ordr .

please give the setting.

i have made the setting in OPJK but it is working for partial conversion of planned order to production order.\

it is not working for Co01

Hi,

As others said for the order you want to maintain this select this and under material availability tab maintain: No release if parts are missing (3) for release material field. If you will maintain this and if any missing material exists then system will not allow you to release your order.

I guess when you are converting the planned order to production order system in picking the right order type but when you are manually creating production order then you are choosing the wrong order type.

Dear Siva,

In OPJK, check the order type which you have given. Tick the Check material availability when saving order and then next in the collective conversion select 3 No creation if material is missing .

This should work, kindly reply whether it is working or not.

Are both the order types same i.e when converting planned order to production order and manual creation using CO01.

I don't think you can prevent manual creation of production order if there are missing parts. The settings of business function 2 in OPJK (Check availability during order release) applies for manual creation of order. You might have to implement ABAP enhancement so that if there are missing parts, prevent it from saving because you can only prevent it from release using IMG settings.

Hi Siva,

Well could you please recheck the order type you maintained and got OPJK again and check the parameters maintained there. Because it should not allow you to do the job.

The settings from OPJK should work.

You have to check the flag "check material availability when saving the order" and "no creation if material is missing".
