I am working on a Payroll-India project. In our project there are overall about 40-45 wage types and about 10 employee sub groups. Not all the wage types are applicable to all the ESGs. In this scenario, how should I decide on the required allowance groupings? Should I be creating separate allowance groupings for each ESGs? For some of the ESGs, like "Consultants", "Apprentice", only 2-3 wage types are applicable and these wage types are not applicable to any other ESGs. I am a bit confused. Please help me.

It means does these wage types are not applicable in ur Basic Pay or they are not applicable. Because , if they are not applicable based on ESG as said by experts.
1.we have Permissibility based on ESG V_511_B
2.Dont maintain those WTs to the employes who are not eligible
Before , Going to all these things you have to Bulit Pay Structure which includes
1.CAPs Collective Agreement Provisions
2.Pay Scale Type and Pay Scale Area
3.Pay Scale Group and Pay Scale Level
4.Allowance Groupings
Check and let us know in case of any issue

Hi,
Not to confuse with the no of ESG or PA/PSA,
Just group the WT according to the EG/ESG and ensure you have the check point in the below configuration points :
1.) Employee Sub Groups for Primary Wage Type - Try to differentiate the group here.
2.) Define wagetype permissibility per PS and ESG - Here select each of the 40 WT and provide "1" in the check box column for Employee Subgroup Grouping indivudually irrespective for all each WT.
your problem is solved at this stage itself ensuring these configuration properly..
Regards
