Typical requirement at client end say UOM like "DRUM" or ROL or "BAG" want to have rounding Rule in 2 decimals.
If I cahnge the rounding deimals in std UOM what impact it will have on Inventory transactions. Will it allow me to do transactions for 1.50 Bags etc ?? MM Gurus please help me out
Yes you can change the rounding rules in the standard.
But it doesn't make sense to have decimal palces for the examples you had given as it will not give exact value or quantity of the material. Like 1.2bags/1.5drum..etc.
You can enter the decimals in the transactions.

the decimal settings in CUNI are just for the eyes (for the display) , it does not restrict you from entering with decimals
Please read following OSS note for more understand this issue in general:
OSS note 23771:
.......inventory management is always carried out in base unit of measure and quantities are managed with exactly 3 places behind the decimal point........
more detailed in:
Note 77525 - Quantity unit conversion in inventory management
and again in
Note 931971 - Decimal places in stocks and stock postings
and Note 442987 - Decimal places/rounding units of measure
.....The T006-DECAN field gives the number of decimal places displayed and T006-ANDEC gives the number of decimal places on which you want to round the output....

Hi,
When you are creating UOM such like u201CDRUM" or ROL or "BAG", no need to have mandatory to enter in decimal place. You can keep it as BLANK. You never sale or procure anything on like 0.5 u201CDRUM" or 0.5ROL or 0.5BAG.If business need you can keep 2 decimal place.
