Masking a Infotype

Hi,

A user has been provided a role (say ABC) by which he is able to access Infotype 8(Basic Pay) of all the employees in a org unit. These role also gives certain other privileges for the user.

The requirement now is the user should have the the role ABC but shouldnt be able to access Infotype 8 of the employee.

Please let me know how to solve this.

Thanks,

Sriram

The authorisation concept does not work like that. A role provides access, a user inherits that access.

If a user needs different access (i.e. no access to IT0008) then they need a different role.

    Hi,

If an user doesn't need access to IT0008 but rest all privileges in that role, then either remove IT0008 from the role or create a new role to suffice particular user's need.

You can't achieve both at the same time, this is true not with softwares but in our practical life! isn't it?
