Measures in ColKeyRange = poor performance?

Hi,

I have created an EVDRE report with the following dimensions:

Row: Project and Account

Col: Time, Category and Measures

In the column I use Measures PERIODIC and YTD since I want to see the period and YTD for the projects.

Since I thínk the report is to slow, I turned on statistics and monitored the report from UJSTAT.

Executing the report takes +30 seconds in SQE.

I now started to investigate why the report was slow. I finally changed Measures to only PERIODIC. This change had a huge impact on performance. The report now takes <2 seconds in SQE.

If I move MEASURES to PageKeyRange the result is the same.

From this experiment my conclusion is: If I use Measures in either ColKeyRange or RowKeyRange and use both PERIODIC and YTD the performance is decreasing dramatically.

Since the report I have created is what I would call a "standard report" used in all companies my question is:

Is this soemthing You also have experienced? And if so - how did you work around the problem?

Thanks,

Lars
