Posible to change the Category of a Functional Location and status profile

HI All,

Is it possible to change the Category of a Functional Location and status profile after it gets created?

Currently, the "Functional location category" field remains is in change mode but status profile is in grayed in IL02 transaction.

But my requirement is by changing functional location catagory,Status profile has to change with respect to catagory

Hi,

If you are using different profiles this is not possible on standard SAP you need to use a user exit:

You can change the Functional location category only if the profile assign to it is the same
