OSERR: ENOMEM (12) "Not Enough Space"

I just install another SAP instance (Solman) on same server (ECC 6).

The system has 16GB physical memory.

When I execute DBACOCKPIT, there's error, and the tree can't be generated.

Key word from log:

          "no memory to create process"

OSERR : ENOMEM (12) "Not enough space"

Here's the full db2diag.log after the event:

Thanks for help.

Please check the INSTANCE_MEMORY parameter for both the instances and make sure they are not automatic and set to a specific value. Also distribute the assignment of memory to both the databases and the SAP application.

    • em/initial size_mb is the size of the extended memory . Generally PRIV mode is something not desirable for workprocesses , so ensure you have 10-15 dia wp. should not be a problem then. You can set it to a higer value , but again that would mean more swap space usage which is not again a good sign.
