Hi BW Experts,

We are using the SAP standared Infoobject 0EMPLOYEE for the last 5 years. Since we have daily updates, we have large Request IDs built ver the years.

How do I delete these requests IDs. is there a table or a function module. Doing manually is very cumbersom.

kindly suggest.

Thanks,

Sai

Thanks All,

Per Sushant's suggestion, it is not required to delet the 1000s of Request IDs in a an Infoobject (Not DSO or cube) ?

I thought the loading perfornce will be affected if there are too may Request IDs.

That is what is happening in my case, where the load time has increased over the past 4 yeras.

Kndly suggest.

Thanks,

Sai

Hello Sai,

The report RSSM_AUTODEL_REQU_MASTER_TEXT can be used to delete the request information from master data infoproviders. All the relevant info is in SAP note 1143710.

Hi Sai,

Instead of deleting each & evry request. f you looking to delete the data in 0EMPLOYEE, then goto SE14 tran --> Give the Master data table name i.e /BI0/PEMPLOYEE & select table radio button & click on Edit. Then Select Delete data in the next screen & then click on "Activate & Adjust database". So that data should be deleted.

But you have to be very careful in SE14 trans & also make sure you donot want any history data stored in this MD. This might have been used in many places.

Hope it helps!

But why you want to delete those request? Don't delete without any reason.
