Loading to excel / odbc ''specified DSNcontains an architecture mismatch

Former Member

Hi ,

I am using data services to export some records to excell .

I get the following error message below .It looks like something is not really suppoprted ... but we are talking about ODBC and therefore I am a bit surprised that it dos not work .

The message says that ''The specified DSNcontains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application>''

I have got DATA SERVICES 12.2.3.0 , The excell driver version used is 14.00.4760.1000 ( should be a 2010 driver)... and the xls file used in the tragte had been produced with 2003.

The file can be imported in the datastore via ODBC in the datastore and the data viewer show the records in the xls file .

Any thought is welcome

Yep this one has been resolved ... i thought that I had closed it . In fact right now I am still not able to load records into an excell spreadsheet via ODBC : I have created a NEW POST "Loading to excel:database engine cannot open the file '(unknown)'. Posted: Dec 13, 2011 6:46 PM "

1-I have got DATA SERVICES 12.2.3.0 , The excell driver version used is 6.00 on both machines...++

2-Both dsn have been set on the client and server and are identical++

3-The xls files have been created with 2003 and has got the xls extension only ( NOT xlsx)

4-The range names are visible and appear like table as expected in the datastore++

5-The few test records entered in the excel worbook and part of the name range t are clearly visible with the data viewer.

6-The file is granted everyone + read and write

7-The file is located in C:\

8-Set "Read only" only for ODBC connection

9-Tried options ... in Excel then In the Tools menu: selected Share Workbook.->Select the Editing tab->Allow changes by more than one user at the same time.

Same error :

Hello,

I've seen this error before - it was caused by using 32bit application with 64bit client. However it can be caused by opposite situation as well. Please check if your application (probably Data Services in your case) is 32bit or 64bit and then install same type of SAP HANA client.
