Moving "crystal reports server" reports to new server

Former Member

Hello,

We have a new server and Crystal Reports Server has been installed on it. Now I have over 1000 reports that need to be set up on the new server.

What would be the best method to move the reports?

Thanks,

Rich.

Hi,

so you want to migrate the Reports from an older Version of CRS to a newer Version of CRS?!

Please post your two versions first.

I want to migrate the reports from an old server to a new server but we are keeping the version of Crystal Reports the same.

These are the version details:

Build Date: 2006/03/17 05:20:23

Build Number: 438

Product Version: 11.5.3.438

Thanks.

Hi Rich,

You can migrate the reports thru "Import Wizard" in the server.

In BOBJ enterprise folder, click on Import Wizard and provide necessary details to migrate the reports.

Thanks.

Before I start is it possible to prevent the new server from sending reports until we are happy everything is OK?

Hi,

after the transport via the IW you can go to the instance manager of your "new" CRS and pause all recurring jobs.

One more dumb question!

I've gone into the Central Managent Console but cannot see an option to pause all recurring jobs am I in the right area?

Thanks,

Rich.
