Search a business partner

We have a business partner called Nirmal Sanghvi whom we normally address as N Sanghvi.

The BP has been entered as Nirmal Sanghvi in SAP. While making a PO in his name since we were not aware of his first name, it took us a lot of time to locate the BP.

We tried searching with N * and also N* Sanghvi but the results were not satisfactory. what would be the best way to search in such a case??

    Hi Avinash,

In find mode you can use filter tool available on tools bar.

There you will get many options like

    contain

    eauals

does not contain etc. which you can try on different fields.

    thanks

you can use short cut name as alias name in the BP master. such a way that you can easily find out the master in the document. (go form settings and enable the alias name in the document).

    regards

    hi,

use the wildcard character *, this means all

    so when you say

*Sanghvi - this will display all BP Master data that has Sanghvi in the BP name

    Note:put this

    *Sanghvi

in the BP Name and make sure you are in a FIND mode

Tips: when you are in a FIND MODE fields are displayed in Yellow while if you are in ADD MODE fields are displayed in White.

    regards,

    Fidel

    Hi,

You may only use N* in this case from BP menu. If you have too many BP starting with N, you hmay use FMS query to find something in the middle.

    Thanks,

    Gordon
