Purchasing organization Assignment to plants

What are all the impacts of assigning a purchsing organization to plants which are in different countries.

Hi,

Currently the enterprise is planning to roll out the existing business model to another country with a similar set up.

There will be another 2 to 3 company codes created in the new country.

Existing are 3 company codes with 3 purchasing organizations.

Can we go with the existing purchasing organizations or creating new purchasing organizations according to their requirement.

Hi,

Basically the purchase organization is responsible for procuring the materials. So if your business says like this then there is no impact. SAP allow to assigne multiple plant to one purchase organization.

Can we go with the existing purchasing organizations or creating new purchasing organizations according to their requirement.

Mu suggestion go with new purchasing organization ,so in future you may define new purchasing pricing procedure according to country so it will helpful to you and for reporting purpose it will helpful to you.

Hi,

If you assign purchasing organization to plant, that pur.org will be responsiblle for procuring activities of that particular plant only which inturn called as plant specific pur.org. Comin to impacts, that pur org only will involve in purchasing activities of that particular plant. Thankking you.

Theoritically, there's no impact if you assign the same P Org to different Plants in different Countries.
