Hi all

When I run the workbook, sometimes it says critical error occured, somtimes I can run workbook successfully, and sometimes it keeps on executing for hours but not result and it will not responding.

It is not consistent in normal way, really not sure when it shows result set when it doesn't. Can any one please let me know is it something to do with Patch level?

Right now I am on 720 Final release, Patch level 0

I did not allow our users to install anything lower than 7.2 Patch 4. All versions prior to it had remarkable instabilities in Excel 2003 an Excel 2010. Note also that Excel 2010 is incompatible with any SAp-GUI below 7.2

I strongly reccommend you upgrade to at least Patch 4. Patch 5 is out as well, and seems stable. 6 is not out yet... purportedly next week.

@ all

Thank you for the reply, I have insalled patch level 3 on my system and also made the business user to have patch levvel 3.

But unfortunately they are not able to execute the workbook, but I am able to run the workbook successfully. I am not sure how to trouble shoot this issue.

Hello Saathiya,

Could you please check if the other users are using SAP Default Workbook or not,

Check in Table RSRWBTEMPLATE.

Check the workbook that is assigned to your user. If there is a blank workbook assigned to your user, this uses the SAP Standard Global Wokrbook. If your user iD doesn't exist in this table, then it will use the workbook assigned to the

<blank> user id. If the <blank> user id is assigned to <blank> workbook, this means that any user id that doesn't

have an entry in this table will be use the global workbook. Don't make any manual updates to this table, but it can be used to see who is assigned to what workbook.

Arvind

Dear Saathia,

First i would like to know the excel version you are using, There are known issues with excel 2007 and excel 2010.

Also Patch 0 is very very low. If this could be a bug this would have been solved with the latest frontend patch.

I would suggest you to apply the latest frontend patch from service market place:

Please goto

-> http://service.sap.com/patches

-> Browse our Download Catalog

-> SAP Frontend Components

-> BI ADDON FOR SAP GUI

-> BI 7.0 ADDON FOR SAP GUI 7.20

-> BI 7.0 ADDON FOR SAP GUI 7.20

-> Win32

-> Apply the latest.

Regards,

Arvind
