Defining Z field as mandatory via FIELDSELECTION_HEADER

Hi all,

I've used BADI ME_GUI_PO_CUST and ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST to add a custom screen and header level. This screen contains just one field. using FIELDSELECTION_HEADER I was able to define it for display or hide it but was not able to define it as mandatory. I set <fs>-fieldstatus = '+' but it simply left it as optional.

Any reason why it does not work? Any idea? I can solve it at screen PBO level but I expected it to work as designed....

Any assistance or idea is welcomed.

Why dont you make it as mandatory while designing the screen also.

Thanks for your reply. I can do as you suggested and it'll probably work, but I want the standard functionality to work as documented,. The fanny thing is that hide or display works well.... just mandatory doesn't.

I've created an OSS message to get SAP formal response. Eventually, if they won't provide solution, I will embrace your suggestions.
