What is Go live actually ? What is the role of a functional consultant in it

Hi,

In general term golive means as a non sap consultant i.e End user are ready to use the sap r/3 to create,maintain their database smoothly after the SAP Consultant done with backend configuration.

Basically go live means where the sap consultant will configure the company requirement form non sap to SAP and test it in testing client and check for all senrio and move it to production server where END USER part will enter from there and the consultant who implemented the sap will be with the END USER and train on them how to use SAP from front end. for couple of months based on SLA

In terms of SAP Go Live means --> We absolutely ready to Use the Production server for business process.

As s functional consultant we configure the business process scenarios and tested thoroughly and get user acceptance and move to Production

Hi,

Go Live stage is the final stage of the project.

Role of Consultant in Go Live :

It means, All the configuration done by you for you module say HCM, has been transported from DEV to Quality and all the qulaity test, User Acceptance Test, Shake Up Test etc etc are done by the technical team and moved from Qulaity to Production finally with 100 % Accuracy.

Now, the Production Server has to be ready for the Client End User to start working on it.

Go Live is nothing but the When the Production Server is ready to use The business Process by the users.

As a functional consultant we should configure all the data as per Clients business process and send this to the production system with error free data and Upload the master data and after go live we have support them if they face any issues in entering the data
