Data Mismatch - Text File vs DSO data

Hi All,

I got a requirement to load data from a Text file into BI with fixed length. There is a quantity field with lenght 13 and data type as QUAN.

When I tried to map this quantity field with Quantity Key figure then it throwed error saying lenght mismatch. So I created a Characteristic Info Object with data type as Number and given length as 13.

The problem is, now I am not getting correct values for Quantity field in BI.

For eg. when Quantity is 900.00 in text file, I am getting 90000 in BW. Could anyone let me know how to solve to this issue?

See note https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1571782. There is a major issue with the way SE16 shows data in recent support pack levels, and this affects the way results show in the BW back-end.

Hi,

I am afraid but i guess the data in BW is showing as 900,00 instead of 90000.

This is not a problem at all. If you create an query on the infoprovider it will not create any problems and it will give as 900.00 only.

You can say in BW (.) is replaced by (,)
