RESB_BDAT="AR" - dependent requirements

I'm analysing materials in table RESB and found one with BDART= "AR". I need to understand why this material has this type of requirement. What defines if a material will have the requirement type "reserve" (MR) or "dependent requirements" (AR)?

Thank you in advenced.

    Dependent requirement is the requirement from a confirmed planned order/sub contract PR, created automatically in MRP, hence it is a planned issue.

    Materials reservations,not dependent on any other elements like production order are created manually in the system using a movement.

    Hope this helps.

    Dear,

    Dependant requirements 'AR' (Automatic Reseration for order) material reservation created from planned order. You can see the details in MD04 transaction for the material.

    Regards,

    Syed Hussain.

    The material I mentioned is an item of a reservation which has other items. Those items have requirement type "MR". Assuming that an automatic reservation cannot be manually edited, how could this happen?
