Using a BPF to Maintain Master Data - BPC 10

Hi all,

I have a business requirement for Master Data to be added very quickly. An example would be a new 'Project' to be added as master data in to the Project dimension, so that a resource (employee) can be book time against it.

We have thought of two options;

1. Create dummy projects and use the BPC Comments functionality to note the project details. This will be quick but quite dirty. There will be no link to a customer which could mess up reporting.

2. Allow users (there are few, and they are Expert) to maintan the Master Data themselves via the BPC 10.0 Admin console or excel client if possible(?) One way that has been suggested is using a Business Process Flow (BPF), that will be left incomplete.

Does anyone have any experience in doing this? Or advice they could share?

Project data is scheduled to be upladed from SAP ECC in to BW, then BW in to BPC nightly. We have a requirement to plan at shorter notice than this and as such this won't work.

Thanks in advance for anyone that can help!

Nick
