BIWS Error (The maximum connection limit has been reached)

We are using BO4.0, for developing dashboards using Dashboard Design & BIWS as data connection. I created the BIWS, able to publish them succesfullly and used as data connection (Query As A Web Service) in Dashboard Design (xcelsius).

When am trying to preview, am recieving an error as "The maximum connection limit has been reached (RWI 00000)". Immediately our development server is going down with this error. When we are looking into the server... the sessions for data connections which are opening are double i.e. (a) Query As A Web Service (b) Web service. (for example if BIWS connections are 10 then total 20 sessions (10- QAAWS & 10-BIWS) are opening up) and not sure why this is making our connection limit has reached.

Could anyone please help us.

a) the solution for Maximum connection limit has reached

b) Two sessions BIWS & QAAWS are opening up, even though used BIWS.

Hello,

a quick update.

Both Arun than Amit are correct, increasing the value do the work. I've monitored the current active session using Monitoring app in CMC and noticed that when the current active session become greater than the maximum number of connection set in Webi Processing Server, the problem occurs.

This is still a problem, because the session is not immediately removed when you close the Dashboard, they stay based on what is set in the inactive connection timeout parameters.

Thanks to all.

Hi Kumar

Check if all the connectors are triggered at the same time. If so, set triggering options from the connectors' usage tab or using Connection Refresh Button, trigger only the connectors you need to bring data with at any point of time. For example - if two connectors are getting data for your very first view on load, load only them with "Refresh On Load" or "After components are loaded".

Say you have two more connectors for your second tab/view write excel logic and use trigger cell options to refresh the data via them only when user clicks on second tab.

Follow this and check if it helps.

A good quick test will be disable all other connectors load but one and run the dashboard. If works, enable one at a time and test.

Thanks

I'm facing the same issue with Dashboard 4.1 on BI 4.1 SP01.

The Dashboard have 12 QaaWs connectors that point to 12 Webi reports (published with BIWS) that have been made with BICS against Bex Queries.

Now, this is the strange thing, because i've scheduled all the 12 Webi Repors and in the Dashboard connectors i've set these options:

ResetState = 1

Refresh = 0

GetFromLatestDocumentIstance = 1

So i'm accessing to the scheduled istance, why i'm still getting this error?

Thanks.

Create a simple dashboard based on qaaws and check whether the session is getting killed after closing the dashboard.

Try increasing the number of connections in the webi processing server properties and check whether you still face the issue.

I followed exactly the same steps for creating the BIWS but when trying to test the web service, am unable to receive the reply from server response.

Also, can anyone please help me why am receiving the "Maximum connection limit has been reached".
