How to transport process chains from dev to quality ?

I have developed few ip s ,dtp s , transf etc for few iobj. Few are available and few are not in Q. I know if all are available how to move a pc but in this case, what is the best approach to move all the respective objects related to that pc into Q.

I mean do i have to manually verify what is available in Q and then move the missing dtp,ip,tran etc first ...and then move the pc or..... I can just send the respective dtp,ip ,tran etc while transporting the PC. That is my doubt.

I have many objects (dtp,ip,trans)and almost 20 pc need to be moved to Q 😔 .Experts, Please suggest the best approach.

    Hi Daniel ,

Best is you transport it from transport connection (RSA1) .

Change the display to List and select all elemnts you want to transport .

As we can directly create process chain in Q and P system so usually we don't transport but if you have to then you need to capture all objects of process chain .

ex: All process variants,Program variants ,If new DTP or Info package you have that is not having same tech name as in Q and P .If you have any report program that is not in Q and P that will also get collected in TR .

In short all objects that you are using in Process chain and not exist with same tech name in Q and P need to be moved .

and also remember first the objects that a Process chain is using should move and then process chain .

      Hi Daniel ,

I was telling you about objects that are part of process chain .

ex: you have created a DTP or info package and added it in your process chain .

When you will transport chain then if any DTP with same tech name will not exist in target system your transport will get failed .

So you need to ensure that the object that your process chain referring either exist already in target system or moved before the transports of Process chain using them will move .
