Hi,
When I am executing 2LIS_03_BX for Stock Init, Posting Date in PSA is showing todays date. Why this is happening?
I run the IP on 9/12/2011, in PSA the posting dates are 9/12/2011 but in R/3 Side the dates are different.
Basically I want the old stock also. When I am loading this to 0IC_C03, opening stock is showing only for 9/12/2011 before that there is not stock in BW Dev.
How to overcome this issue?
Pls. suggest me.

Hi ,
The BX datasource gives the stock value at the date in which u initialized. If u do initialization in MCNB on 12th of december the posting data will be 12th for all the record. If u want stocks for older dates fill the setup tables for BF without any restriction then do init load it to cube and do a compression without any marker update.

Hi Raghavendra,
thanks for the reply.
Your are right that BX datasource gives the stock value at the date in which initialize will happen in MCNB, for all records i am getting the same date and I want old stock also, but I am not giving any restriction in MCNB then why it's fetching the same date for all records. The only resctriction i am giving is Termination Date and Time.
can you help me

Hi,
The initialization is done based on MBEW table and not on MSEG and MKPF table. MBEW gives the current stock for taking into consideration all the historic postings. So the BX datasource has all the transaction but it is in a aggregated form( Not literally). If u want to see the stock for older data plz load the BF datasource and see.

Raghavendra.
hi,
Inventory load is different to other loads because of non-cumulative keyfigures. There is something called marker update. Please read how to inventory doc or other docs in SDN regarding non cumulative keyfigures. It will help u to get a better understanding. For ur case load BX to cube. DO compression with marker update. The load initial load for BF and compress without marker update and then resume daily delta load for BF and compress this with marker update.

Hi,
You have to make sure that by restrictions for posting date or the material document number you only select those material documents that have created the opening stock. Also Please consider that material movements that have been posted into the future for a date (field BUDAT) after the initial stock date are not getting selected if the upper restriction bound is exactly this date. In this case you have to choose an appropriate upper bound like 31st December 2099 and to keep the posting block. Also if you post new documents to a date (field BUDAT) earlier than the initial stock date you have to keep the posting block as time restrictions wonu2019t help to determine the right documents (maybe restrictions by document number help).

Hi,
If you are doing stock initialization for the first time only then you will get back dated stocks otherwise all the BX data changes to BF that is movement data and you get only the latest dated stocks through BX data source. This is how Inventory Mgmt works.
However if you are facing this issue in during the first time stock initialization then you should raise a OSS message for SAP as this should not happen during first time stock initialization.
