Publishing of Dashboard

Hello Gurus,

We are creating dashboards in SAP Business objects Dashboards design. we are using BO4.0. I would like to know how can i publish dashboards to infoview as we are not having enterprise portal in our landscape.

Any help document in this regard will be of great help.

Hi,

Go to SAP Tab-- Publish

save the Xcelsius file to the SAP NetWeaver BW system and then you can call the Xcelsius dashboard via a simple URL.

Simple way

Export it to Flash and send through mail

I am looking for some information on BI launchpad. How do we publish dashboards in BI launch pad.

Hi,

You can publish SWF file to BI Launchapd.

Go to Dashboard Design. File -> Export -> Flash (SWF). Specify a local folder.

Now go to BI launchpad and select your Folder where you want SWF file to be present.

Documents -> New -> local Document (Browse from local folder) -> Add

Now you will be able to see the SWF file in folder.

Thanks for your clarificaiton. One more query if i publish to XLF and then use this XLF to upload in BI Launchpad. Will its connectivity to SAP BI server will remain intact ?

I mean how will the security will be impacted .

Hi

we can exports dashboard to Bi launchpad when we are using webi reports or qwaas/live officec connections only

we can not export dashboards to BI launchpad(Info view) when we are using SAP BW NW connection

For we have to publish these dashboards in portal only

Hello,

There are two ways to create Dashboard on BW Queries :

1. Directly consume query from BW ( using the SAP NW BW connection).

By this method you wil be only able to publish the dashboard to BW Server ( using hte SAP TAB-> Publish ).

2. Create WEBI/Crystal on top of BW and use live office to consume the same in Dashboard.

By this method you will be able to publish dashboard to BI platform.

For this to work , you will have to establish SAP authorisation and SSO .

All the sap authorisation will work on BO , as we will be logging in using SAP credentials.
