My DSO does not activate.how do i see contents os data package?

My Dso has data in new data table but it status turns RED when I am trying to activate. I used standard data source 0fi_gl_4 and standard DSO 0FIGL_O02 . pretty straight forward. no added fields or objects. I have deleted 2 requests from previous loads and executed DTP . i did full update.then new data table has new data now but i could not activate.

pls help what should i check for

REQUEST STATUS is 'Error occured during activation process'

REQUEST FOR REPORT AVAILABLE - 'request available for reporting'

In the LOG i can see RED on Data package 000039 when I click on it

the error is

-value electronic account statum of characteristic 0DOC_HD_TXT cont

long text looked like it is INVALID CHARACTER

how do i see the contents in a particular data package (000039) ???

Hi,

I this is invalid charater error.

There are two options

1. To maintain the invalid charater in RSKC.

2. You need to edit the PSA ..just go to data package 39. and then filter on the field first field see any red status records are available.Filter on those. Correct the error manually.

3. Also see if there are any SID generation errors while activation.

4. Also check log in SM64

Hi,

As there is some invalid char in your data package thus you are unable to activate the DSO. Here are the steps to be carrid out -

1. change the QM status to RED of request not getting activated. After that delete the request from DSO.

2. Right click on your PSA and go to Manage, from there select the latest PSA request and go to data package 39.

3. Display DP 39 and check for erroneous record, correct it.

4. Once getting corrected then run your DTP. This will solve your issue.

As this is 7.0 flow you wldnt get the reconstruction tab.

i could see RED on data package 000039 in the log under the SID Generation(the charecteristic - 0DOC_HD_TXT) but when I go to PSA maintenabce the data packages existing are 000001 through 000009. aren't they same(data packages in DSO level and PSA level)? I am confused and dont know where I would see the error data in PSA.

Hi,

This can happen if the size of teh data package from R/3 to PSA is larger than the size of the data package from PSA to DSO. Assume till PSA the data package size is 50000 and you are receiving 9 data packages the total number of records equals to 50000 X 9. Now from PSA to DSO suppose the data package size is 10000 then number of data packages will increase from 9 to 45 that is 9 X 50000/10000.

If you are having problem in data package 39 (in the above mentioned scenario) then you should move to data package 39 X 10000 /50000 that is data package 7 of the PSA and rectify the corresponding record in the PSA and load it to the DSO.

Similarly you will have to calculate the data package number of the PSA in your scenario.

Hi,

Goto PSA maintenance of your datasource, get into the data package 39 and see the erroneous records and edit them and save.

Delete the RED request from DSO and reconstruct it back from PSA. You can do this in the re-construct tab of DSO.

Hi,

Right Click on the data source and click on MANAGE button. You will see the list of all the PSAs of the data source. Click on the latest PSA which has erroneous record. Then go to the data package which is erroneous and set the option for showing erroneous records of the PSA in the resulting dialog box.

There you can double click on the record and change the value in the PSA.

Hi,

From the activation error log you will be able to identify the error characteristic and the error value then using that try to filter all the records from PSA.

If there are more no. of records with given selection then you will have to put some routine for removing invalid characters otherwise you can manually edit the records and reload.

Edit the PSA and check for the records having invalid charec.
