adding new group in OMBT

I am trying to add a new group with new number range .. i go to maintain group ->insert ->i put a name and number range for the new group -> press on add

but the group does not appear

please can anyone advise?????

dear friend,

you would try

Groups (Maintain)

and then menu: Group - Insert (F6)

type Text, Year (say, 9999) and numbers range (from -> to)

skip current number (must be zero) and do not use 'Ext' checkbox

hit Insert

Save

enjoy your new group

hi..

after it happens to me also many times. what I did was

1. first find the group to which the number range is assigned.. because system automatically assigns it to some other group... u can use number range overview in the number range screen..

2. if this group is unused.. then change the name of group and start using it.. use maintain group for this..

3. if it is already in use then delete the new no. assignment to that group and start creating new one.. as soon a u create a group save and then assign to some material type..

these are some methods I used to overcome this situation..
