Error "The reference has already been completely copied or rejected "

Former Member

Hi All,

I am getting an error "The reference has already been completely copied or rejected ".

My scenario is something different here. I have contract, we create Sales order with reference to contract, and then we try to create another Contract with reference to the first contract. Completion rule from Contract to Order is required, so in the item category Completion rule "C" is kept. But while creating another contract completion rule is not required.

But i am facing the problem because the status in the contract changes to C once we create order and so it does not allow to create another contract giving the above error.

Kindly help me with possible custom setting changes that can be done to get the desired result.

Thanks....

When a sale order has already been created referencing the contract, can you explain why again you want to create one more contract ?? I came across scenarios where there would be Firm Contract created initially followed by Renewal Contract.

dear friend,

try to run t-code OVAH, find out the record V4 015 W and remove 'W' (set 'Cat' blank)

good luck!

p.s. it will probably will work with new document...

Hi VK,

Try by removing Complete reference check at your copy controls, go to T.code VTAA select your sale order type and

quotation type, and at header level you can see complete reference just un check that and try.
