Asset acqusition through MM

Hi

I am working on FI MM integration where in i am raising a purchase requisition and then a purchase order.

I have few questions in this regards

Only plant and machinery can hava a purchase requisition? What if i want to buy a car? can i use "asse acqusition through MM) in case i want to acquire a car

For Any Asset Acquisition, the normal procedure is

Purchase Requisition - ME51

Purchase Order - ME21N

Goods Receipt - MIGO

Invoice Receipt - MIRO

AUC Settlement to Fixed Asset - AIAB & AIBU

Capitalization

So the procedure is same....few will use Investment Management

Hi Vedavtee,

Yes you can do the acquisition of asset through MM cycle.

At the time of PO in the T.code of ME21N. You have to choose A in account assignment category field. And give your asset number in assignment tab. then in invoice tab you must and should tick both the check boxes of Inv. Receipt & GR Bsd IV.

At the time of assignment Asset in the "account assignment" i am gettign error

Message " AA_BAS_CUS_READ008"

Go to OBA7 and check Doc Type KR - whether the Asset option is checked or not.
