Hi,
As per Indian Income tax law you have to make IT payment every month, every month tax paid is thru a challan, and in addition to this every Quarter you consolidate the 3 challans and make payment to IT dept so 4 quarters =1 year of IT paid to Govt.
This every quarter payment of challan is mapped in SAP HR (functionality given by SAP)and can be pulled as a report via TCode PC00_M40_CMAP.this can be in the form of text file which can be directly loaded online to IT Dept thru NSDL,also u can keep it in excel to make quarterly IT Payments to Govt.
How to map challan is an excellent PDF doc by SAP which can further clear your doubts.search for the doc i Forum/Service Market place hope you will be able to answer this doubt next time when asked.

I think its Challan Mapping , you use this for the FORM16 , usually the income Tax submit details will be quarterly and the challan details u can map them using T-code : PC00_M40_CMAP and this details will be displayed in FORM16
