hello Experts
Because of Unicode, I need to change in all of the BW infopackages : character set settings & character set.
Do you know a way to customize globally all the infopackages... or i have to do it manually on all of them.
thanks for help!

Thank you Nils for your reply.
I found std table RSLDPSEL which contains properties of the infopackage, in particular UNICODE_CODEPAG and UNICODE_METHOD. Both fields manage the SAP Character Set ID and the Unicode Entry Method.
Now, the question is : does anyone know the way to customize these parameters by SPRO (to avoid ABAP coding) ?

Hi Satya,
Recently we have upgraded our R/3 system and now the current system is Unicode compatible. We have changed the unicode compatibility in SM59 transaction for particular source system under MDMP tab in BW.
After this we have replicated all the data sources from source system and now all the loads are working fine.

Durgesh.

Thanks all for your help.
There is a point i didn't specify : i upload from flat files... so there is no RFC customizing and no possibility to replicate metadata as you suggested Durgesh.
@Kiran : RSLDPIO table contains some properties of the infopackage, but none concerning character set settings...
any other idea?

Hi,
Following links may help in UNICODE conversion of SAP BW :-
http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/unicode/ChallengesinBIUnicodeconversion
Also go through SAP Note 888210.
In short you can change the UNICODE settings globally for all the source systems through SM59.
Double click on the source system name.Goto MDMP & UNICODE tab and selct radio button UNICODE from there and save it. Do it for all the source systems connected with your BW system which are UNICODE compliant even the self connecting source system.
After that you will not need to do any changes in the IP.

Hi,
check following tables and see if you can change setting in any of the table fo selections/ABAP source code
InfoPackage
RSLDPIO
Links datasource to infopackages
RSLDPIOT
InfoPackage Text Description
RSLDPRULE
ABAP source code for InfoPackages
RSLDPSEL
Hardcoded selections in InfoPackages
RSMONICDP Contains the request-id number by data target
RSPAKPOS
List of InfoPackage Groups / InfoPackages
Try out in Dev environment first.Once confirmed you can move these changes to next environment.
Else you are only left with manual change option.
Thanks and regards
