Script Error

I have just installed CR 2011 on a Windows 7 Home Edition. When I refresh a report and change the parameters I am getting a script error.

Line: 23

Char: 1

Error: Library not registered

Code: 0

I click YES to contine running and then the error pops up again.

I installed CR 2011 as an administrator.

    Hello,

Need more info. what database are you using and how are you connecting?

Have you tried using the Set Location option and update the connection info?

    • Install the MS SQL Server Client Tools to get the SQL Server Native 10 driver. When you create your System DSN select the Native 10 driver and then fill in the rest and do a Test Connection.

Crystal Reports is a 32 bit application so it needs to use the 32 bit client. It's located in the \windows\syswow64 folder or in the 32 bit Admin Console. From the Start menu type in ODBC and you'll get the 32-bit ODBC administrator. Create your DSN in that version.

      Thanks

Don - Thank you for your answer. I have done as you suggest to no avail. I installed CR 2011 as an evaluation and it has not worked as I expected it to. CR 8.5 worked fine before I uninstalled it to install CR 2011 and works fine now I have re-installed it. What really baffled me was that SAP let you download an evaluation then want you to pay £110.00 for a single support solution. Amazing! I'll be sticking to 8.5 for a while yet!

Once again thank you for inparting your knowledge!

    David

    • Hi David,

CR 8.5 is not side by side compatible, it's going to cause all sorts of problems for CR 2011 on the same PC. And the uninstall for 8.5 is messy from what I recall so it may be better if you can install 2011 on a clean PC. If not then delte every CR file out of the System32 folder...

So if you are going to upgrade you have to remove 8.5 only way. And as for 8.5 working with SQL 2008 good luck.

      Thanks again

      Don
