Error DTP mandatory?

Hi,

Since we've moved to SAPKW70110

we get upon activating a DTP: 'Setting for error handling and error DTP do not match" The help indicates that we've set error handling and didn't set a error DTP or vice versa.

But we leave the error handling to the standard "1 Valid records Update, No reporting (Request Red)" without changing anything. Before SAPKW70110, we didn't get this msg.

Why does the sudden this msg appear since SAPKW70110? Does error DTP become standard mandatory?

Hi,

Error DTP is not mandatory, if you want to capture error records and process the load with fial then will use Error DTP. AS you are saying after installing SAPKW70110 error is coming, please change the Error handling setting in DTP to u201C2 Valid Records update, Reporting possible (Request Green)u201D and try to activate.

If you are getting any error record you can load them through error DTP.so it is better to have error DTP ...

Hi,

We don't have the need to load error records, but only valid records. We're interested in the errors in order to fix the issues though.

why did you set the error handling, if you don(t need it? if you need it for semantic grouping activate and set it to valid records update reporting possible option.
