SAP Data - downloading to Excel - Formatting Issue !

Hi,

I want to download the sap data through a custom program to a excel file.

When it gets downloaded, the data are not in the proper format ...

Say for example 452324456 is a number it shpos 4+76E ...some thing like that ...when we expand the cell - its showing the number in correct format ?

Is there anything we can control this from ABAP side ?

When its downloaded - i need the data formatted ... !!!

Thanks

Senthil

You make it as a Character type then try, I think then also you will see the same output in excel.

I also got this issue before, but nothing can be done in ABAP, its upto Excel as far my knowledge.

    Hi Senthil,

Read the similar link mentioned below:

The problem is not with ABAP, but with standard excel. The other way is to use OLE which helps you to define column widths. But, it is a tedious coding process.

    Pranav.

    Hi Senthil

You can try setting increased width to the corresponding column in the program.
