Dear experts,

I want some wage types to be calculated automatically during PY run, e.g. washing allowance, furnace allowance, conveyance allowance, etc.

Please advise me what to do.

Thank you.

Here are some additional questions:

How will the system know to pay a particular allowance ? Will it be because the employee belongs to a certain group of employees (info from WPBP), has a certain position/job (OM), works a certain number of hours in a period, or because an infotype (e.g. IT0015) was created to inform the system ?

Yes the employees belong to a certain employee subgroup.

@Haris: Thank you for your info.

Hi rkvarma,

The ESG is workmen. Country is India.

The calculation formula should be (no. of monthly working days) x (daily amount) e.g. 22 x 15 = 330

Thank you.

Is this amount 330 is fixed for all ESG workmen and paid monthly. What happens if the Employees is on LOP does the amount Pro rate

Hi rkvarma,

The number is just an example. It is not fixed and must be calculated based on the no. of monthly working days. Because some months will have 30 days, some 31, moreover some have 5 Sundays, others have 4 you know. They work 6 days a week.

Yes it is applied for all ESG workmen and paid monthly.

Btw can you explain Pro rata here?

Thank you so much.

Pro Rata means if the Employee is on LOP then the system should deduct the amount on this wage type.

you are asking daily rate but on what wage types do u want the daily rate .Is it only on Basic Salary or it includes more wagetypes and the calculation is like this

Daily Rate = Basic Salary / No of working Days

Yes if the employee is on LOP, the system should deduct the amount on this wage type.

This wage type is calculated based on actual no. of working days in a month.

The wage type is Washing Al & Furnace Al.

Thank you

when you say automatic caluculation....

Do you want wage type to be caluculated at infotype level........or do u want WTs to get caluculate through schema without maintaining them in master data

in first case u have to check with indirect valuation , in second case you have to use Funciton ACTIO ..... to your PCR

Hi Senior,

I'll go with the first case. Please guide me because it's the 1st time I ever heard about the Indirect valuation concept.

Thank you.

Indirect Valution wills helps u to valuate a wage type based on % of another WTs

For Example : HRA is 40% of Basic , For this u have to configure WTs Characterstics in T511 and Assign valuation Basis in T539J

for more info u can check previous threads

Thank you for guiding me.

However I just want the wage type to be calculated for a particular ESG - workmen, not all employees in the whole country.

How can I achieve this?

in that case you have to create a Pay Structure for this workmen and configure as per your scenario

Hi Senior,

So in my scenario, I want the wt to be calculated for ESG Workmen based on (actual monthly working day) * (daily amount); what should I do?

I found TARIF function with variant A, is it useful here?

Thank you.

U can restrict wage type according to ESG wise in V_511_B table

Kindly check and for which country you are implementing

Hi,

Are you maintaining Employee master for those wagetypes in IT0014/It0015?

If Yes, Maintain Rates for month or per day in T511k or T511p.

Based on Employee Working days multipliy with Constants store in Same wage type.

Please read the Partial Factors documentation..

Exe:

*

****

wagetype?

****

addwt *

9010 - washing allowance

num=tksidi

amt=Izwash ( Constant value maintain in t511p for washing allowance)

multi ana

addwt *

Note: If you want Query employee subgroup use OUTWP operation incase of mapped Workmen as employee sub group.

Hi,

If you want the wage types to be calculated automatically based on some other wage types then please go ahead with the Indirect Valuation.

Asha

On what basis is the automatic calculation? Is it a constant value? is it based on a % of some other wagetype? Is it based on a number of hours? At any rate look up "Indirect valuation" in SAP help and you should get all the answers you are looking for.
