Brain 649 Error when creating customer exit variable

Hello I have created a customer exit variable to use in BeX. It works fine. It allows the user to enter it does everything I want, but right at the end it says. "Error for Variable in Customer Enhancement". Does anyone know why?

Ok I found the issue in the code I just sent there is this line:

OR <l_s_range>-opt <> rs_c_range_opt-equal.

the l_s_range -opt = BT and the ts_c_range_opt-equal = EQ. I do not know what these mean...
