Dynamic variant won’t read TVARV

Hi, I have setup program RVSETDAT to run on daily basis a class B job to run just after midnight. The program runs a scheduled and updates TVARV.

In TC STVARV can I see that the variable RV_ACTUAL_DATE are updated.

My first program to setup that reads variable RV_ACTUAL_DATE are RFIMPNBS that are supposed to load the daily exchange rates from ECB.

The config of program RFIMPNBS works u2013 if I run it manually or schedule it to run once does it works like charm.

The problem occurs when I try to use variable RV_ACTUAL_DATE in background variant. If simply wonu2019t read the variable upon execution time despite I have selected it according this guide http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/c0/980374e58611d194cc00a0c94260a5/content.htm

Any input would be highly appreciated!

Now it works!

The solution was to save the variant with the field option u201CSave field without valueu201D and in the field select the TVARV value
