Hi All,
What is the uniqueness of the CO-PA extractor?
What is the importance of value fields? Value fields are nothing but a Key Figure values, but is there any specific importance in CO-PA for value fields?
Thanks for your support
the uniqueness of CO-PA is that it is structured very much like BW by way of usage of
1. CHaracteristics
2. Value FIelds
3. Profitability Segments etc
All these match to a specific object like Characteristic / KF / Dimension etc in BW and hence the uniqueness since we are transferring data from a BW like interface in R/3 to BW ...

When realignment takes place, you have reload all the data from R/3 to BW.

Hi vuppalapa,
there is a good ASAP Paper on the COPA Extraction. That should give you a good overview.

Hi,
The value fields are key figures only. They do not have any specific importance in COPA. Just like other areas they are used for analyzing characteristics.
Thanks.
