JSPM error on AIX 6.1 during Solution Manager 7.1 sps03

Doing a fresh installation of Solution Manager 7.1 on AIX 6.1 DB2 9.7.3

Installation finished with no errors

performed normal post processing tasks - including importing profiles through RZ10 and setting RZ04 to them.

upgraded system to latests kernel

performed SAINT installation of maintenance.xml for BI_CONT (SPS03)

Now to run JSPM and update the SCS.

logged in as sidadm and exporting my display variable I run ./go in JSPM directory. JSPM is 7.02 - the window comes up and fails during the sappfpar commands. What I am confused by and have been searching for all week is that JSPM executes sappfpar pf=null

Yet it sees my DVEBMGS00 and SCS profiles and is smart enough to ignore the DVEBMGS00 profile because it is not JAVA.

I have checked, checked, and rechecked that my profiles are owned by sidadm:sapsys and are readable by all.

Begin JSPM.LOG output -

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am leaning towards a missing parameter somewhere - either in ENV or SID_SCS01_sm9 to point the sappfpar pf variable so that it is not null.

Unsuccessful in searching notes, sdn, and google for this particular issue.

incidentally - j2ee/dbhost is in my DEFAULT.PFL

able to post logs at request.

Thank you,

Greg

From the message I read, JSPM doesn't care about the DVEBMGS00 Start and instance profiles. As I don't normally work with dual stack or java - these are largely untouched post installation.

Also - are the SCS profiles supposed to import when I RZ10 -> import profiles of actives?

    Thank you,

    Greg

    chmod is ar and uw

    chown is sm9adm:sapsys

    All profiles have this.

I have successfully launched the JSPM.

I believe you were on the right track and asking to see the profiles promted some thought!!

I imported the default ABAP stack profile we are using throughout out landscape, but SOLMAN is dual stack. I was able to get with a fellow local basis admin and obtain their main instance profile for a dual stack environment -

    New profile SM9_DVEBMGS00_sm9 -

must have gotten cut off, it is the very last line in the profile -

    j2ee/instance_id = ID0024756

or does it manually after I imported the profile RZ10?

    It is there now though.

And thank you for the good read - I believe I will be spending more time here now!
