Hi Experts,

we have one requirement from client like physically semifinished product plastic cabin will be produce only in A2 plant for A1 and A2 Plants which are same company code (No Stock Transfer will take place).

In the SAP system, clients needs to show plastic cabin will be produced in both plants (A1 and A2 Plants) by using same workcenter. Both plant have manufacturing plant with 2 diffrent product which is used same plastic cabin.

I know there will be Costing Impact for workcenter. Can you guide us how to map this scenario.

Regards,

Dev

I don't know why you intent to maintain in SAP that it is produced in both plants when it is actually produced in one plant.

Since you said the same component (plastic cabin) is used to make different other materials in different plants and there is only one producing plant, I would suggest you to look into the special procurement key option.

You go to transaction code: S_ALR_87006492

Create new entry: example Z1

Plant #A1.

Sp. Pr. Type Z1

Enter your procurement type E.

Under 'as BOM component' section, 'Withdrawal from an alternative plant' tick the checkbox and your Issuing plant as Plant # A2.

After you assign this special procurement key to material in material master. The following scenario will occur.

If stock is not available in plant A1 it will always create stock transfer requisition from plant A2 and if stock is not available in A2, mrp run in plant A2 will create a planned order.

Hi,

This is possible in R/3, but can you tell how to handle this scenario if demand came from APO. This Scenario we can handle from APO itself instead of R/3. Because for this items forecast will be load in APO.

Please suggest for this,

Well I didn't know you're using APO for planning.

APO does not natively support the special procurement (SPK) for withdrawal from an alternative plant (At least until APO 4.1, the latest version might already have that BAdi and may support, if not you need to implement it). But there is a BAdi which can be implemented in APO which will support the SPK for withdrawal from alternative plant.

Here is the note how to implement it. It's pretty straight forward. [577158|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/577158]

Related note about all the SPK's supported by APO [619976|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/619976]

Hi Dev,

Why can't you try this by doing Scope of Planning

Hi Madhu,

Can you tell how to use scope of planning. Because this plant have diffrent requirement for this cabin from product perspective.

Also using same work center from plant A2 will be used for both plant production.
