Calendar icon missing in 8.81 PL08

I have a user who when logging into SAP has to keep clicking on View > Pickers Display > Date in order to get the calendar icon on the top of the SBO screen. Each time they log out and log back in this option/setting is not being retained.

Has anyone come across this?
