Hi,

I'm getting the subject error msg when I try to create a recording in ECATT. Yesterday I did not get this error. I had our BASIS group check RZ11 for parameter sapgui/user_scripting and it's showing the current value of FALSE. I don't think it was recently changed. It is set up as dynamically switchable, which as I understand means the value is in shared memory and after restart is lost. To make the change permanent must be done via RZ10. I checked SAP GUI options and scripting is enabled. I also checked table T000 for the client and eCATT and CATT are allowed. I didn't see anything else in this forum that could help me.

Can anyone help me understand why yesterday I couild do a recording and today I can't?

System restart or restart of a certain appserver?

Kindly set following paramater sapgui/user_scripting to true instead of false.

Thanks to all for your help. I ended up using Group UI Control, and Command TCD (Record) instead of SAPGUI (Record) and then I was able to proceed with the recording. John
