Limit F4 values for Personnel Area, Employee Subgroup etc. in PA40 ,PA30

Hi,

I need to Limit F4 values for Personnel Area, Personnel Subarea & Employee Subgroup based on User Master - Authorisation Values in tcode PA40,PA30 etc.

For this purpose,Tried using FM 'GET_AUTH_VALUES' & subsequently FM 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST' in field exits for fields mentioned.

Since syntax 'CALL SCREEN' is present in FMs,it didnt work.

Pls suggest Alternative ways as to limit F4 values for Personnel Area, Personnel Subarea & Employee Subgroup based on User Master - Authorisation Values in tcode PA40,PA30 etc.

Hi,

try this way ask your abap person to restrict the standard F4 dropdown of PA,PSA,EG,ESG in PA40&PA30 in accordance with their (Employees)user groups.its a workaround but it works.

U want to have only the specific values when the user goes for F4 in PA30 or PA40.is this is based on user level or for all the users.

We have already tried field exit but it didnt work.

Tried with implementing BADI - HRPAD00INFTY,also tried even with EXIT_SAPFP50M_001.

In both cases ,F4 help appears just after executing any action in initial screen of PA40.

It didnt trigger at f4 on particular field in Create Actions Infotype Screen.

So wuld like u to suggest alternatives.

Try to restrict standard F4 dropdown by Company code selection means your dropdown will give only those PA,PSA etc which are linked to the co code you have created.Check with abaper
