Calculation

Using MDX I need apply a percentage increment to all account.The question is where do I need to specify in the following formula to calculate for all accounts or there is no need..

*WHEN TIME

*IS =%TIME_SET%

*WHEN CATEGORY

*IS %CATEGORY_SET%

*WHEN DATA_SOURCE

*IS BASELINE

*WHEN RPTCURRENCY

*IS USD

*REC(EXPRESSION=%VALUE% *(([DATA_SOURCE].[ABC],[COSTCENTER].[NOCC],[PROFIT_CENTER].[NOPFC]) + 1), DATA_SOURCE =BPC)

*ENDWHEN

*ENDWHEN

*ENDWHEN

*ENDWHEN

*COMMIT

The increment % entered in the data source is not applying when execution.

    Hi there,

    Just to be clear you are using BPC SQL script logic and not MDX.

    You neet to use a GET within your *REC statement as follows:

    *REC(EXPRESSION=%VALUE% * (GET(DATA_SOURCE="ABC", COSTCENTER="NOCC",PROFIT_CENTER="NOPFC") +1), DATA_SOURCE =BPC)

    The GET statement needs to be very specific ans also the dimensions specified in the GET also need be in scope (via an *XDIM_MEMBERSET or *XDIM_ADDMEMBERSET).

    If you have have your % increment stored on ACCOUNT XYZ then you need to scope that into your logic and also need to specify it in your GET statement.

    i.e.

    *REC(EXPRESSION=%VALUE% * (GET(ACCOUNT="XYZ", DATA_SOURCE="ABC", COSTCENTER="NOCC", PROFIT_CENTER="NOPFC") +1), DATA_SOURCE =BPC)

    You can also make things more efficient by using an *XDIM_NOSCAN statement for the dimensions used in your calculations.

    i.e.

    *XDIM_NOSCAN ACCOUNT=XYZ

    etc.
