logical System Name 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST' is not properly defined in SLD

Hi,

Im getting this error message:

com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST' not properly defined! Unable to create Metadata connection for Dictionary Provider. Either the logical System Name 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST' has not been properly defined in the System Landscape Directory, or you are not using a MsgServerDestination (AppServerDestinations are not permitted for Metadata connections)

What action should I take to fix this error? is this a web dynpro side error or basis error?

Thanks!

Dear TJ Ronald Amorado

Please test the JCO destination for the model data and meta data which you are using in the webdynpro model.

As per the error message you are getting 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST' is not defined in the QA.

Please create it in the QA manually and test it. Refer to document : - [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c0c1d495-048e-2b10-babd-924a136f56b5?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c0c1d495-048e-2b10-babd-924a136f56b5?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true]

Copy the name of the modeldata and metadata and use the same name in logical destination during model creation in webdynpro.

Hope it will helps.

Best Regards

Hi,

Check it WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST is Ping/Testing. Please check under this path Content Admin-Webdynpro

If you donu2019t have any authorization Please contact BASIS Guys. what i am thinking your JCO's not working. Please check it.

If it is not ping .

Please go through this points:

1.Create Technical System by using SLD in Portal (means we can connect to the ECC System)

2.By using that above Technical System we can create Model data and Meta Data.

3.In NWDS, when we are getting the BAPI/RFC from the ECC System. That time we can pass Model Data and Meta Data along with ECC System Host name, Client Num, System User name and Password.

Every BAPI/RFC having Input and Output Parameter. So we will get the data and pull the data into Portal

Best Regards

Hi,

According to our basis the Jco is already running [http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn115/teejae05/SAP%20Dynpro/Jco.png] check the link for the screenshot.

Are there any steps where in I could tell our basis what to do?

Thanks!

it's working.

Is there a possibility that the patch level [R/3] of 2 servers not the same if a web dynpro app is working in a Development server then it got transferred to the Quality Assurance server then it doesn't work?

Thanks!
