Hi,
I am an instructional designer & technologist. I do some limited programming in Php and Actioscript - nothing world shaking. I have developed in Drupal and worked with content management systems such as Blackboard. I have advanced degrees in educational psychology, technology education, and instructional design. Recently a huge organization in my city - a drug company - started hiring for a position to provide 'Advanced SAP Basis Technical Expertise and Leadership in development and implementation of SAP solutions to support business operations.' I imagined SAP is a CMS that supported delivery of training to employees. Honestly, I do not know what SAP is, does, or requires. The more I scan around here the more I believe SAP is an architecture that developers can configure to connect or systematize department workflow through a computer network.
I guess I should start with asking: 1) What is SAP?
2) Can a person with my background learn SAP rather rapidly? (As mentioned I can do some programming, and I can use applications such as FLASH with ease).
Thank you,
Marc
