Excel Office intregration Windows 7 64 bit machine with office 2003 32 bit

Hello All,

I am having a problem with Microsoft Excel Office intregration.

In tcode S_ALR_87013000 and going the output paramters and select Microsoft Excel under Office intregration.

When I execute my report Excel will not open.

I am running a Windows 7 64 bit machine with office 2003 32 bit.

If I am running a Windows 7 64 bit machine with office 2010 32 bit. Excel DOES NOT open in SAP.

If I change my OS to XP 32 bit and with office 2003 32 bit Excel open in SAP no problem.

If I am running a windows 7 64 bit machine with office 2010 64 bit. Excel open in SAP no problem.

I am guessing that SAP is looking for Excel in the C:\Program Files and it is installed in C:\Program Files (x86).

Any help would be great.

Refer Note 722513 - Desktop Office Integration: Maintenance information

This has all the information on supported Microsoft office s/w and its integration.

For 64-bit OS you may need 64-bit Office Product.

The problem with going with Office 2010 64bit is that it will not work and is not supported with BI.
