LifeCycle Management on Linux

Hi,

We are using Linux, just installed BO 4.0, why i can't see LifeCycle Management Console from the BO 4.0 client tool list?

I can get access to the LCM.jar and using command line, but i should find it from:

"Select Start > Programs > SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 > SAP BusinessObjects Business

Intelligence platform > Lifecycle management console."

Should i get access to the lifecycle management console from server or client?

Thanks

Hi,

LCM is a web based tool we need to access through url. Below is the url,you can access the LCM

http://localhost:8080/BOE/LCM

Please check the below sap kb article for further reference

1594578 - SAP BI 4.0 is using localhost in the default URLs as the host name instead of the server or machine name

Hi Raja,

This is great, the link works.

Just a quick question, if there is firewall between production and development, can i deploy Live to Live by using LCM console?

or I have to :

1. create .lcmbiar from development LCM console

2. import .lcmbiar by production LCM console

Thanks

Hi,

You can perform live to live if you have enabled the port numbers in firewall or else you can create biar file as source .use this biar file in destination machine , source as biar

Raja
