Upload new sales organization data 2LIS_13_VDITM datasource

Hi,

I need to upload a new sales organization data into a global DSO that is uploaded from 2LIS_13_VDITM datasource. The question is which is the better solution to do this since i cannot delete any data from DSO. The other proble is that I hava too many new data to upload into the DSO from this new sales org.

I was thinking on creating another delta infopackage/DTP within the new sales organizationi in its filter (AR03) and without data transfer and then upload the data with several full uploads.

Does anybody has a better idea on this?

Hi,

Assuming there was info package level selection of sales organization for earlier initialization,

Following steps should help you for data load,

1. Delete setup tables.

2. Create setup table data with new organization

3. Create info package with with initialization option

4. Load data

Since system wouldnt find this sales organization in earlier filters , system would allow to do new init with this filter.

Hi Kapadia,

We have an infopackage and a filter in DTP with sales org AR01 with a huge amount of data loaded into a DSO and then into Infocube. Now we need to upload the data for sales org AR03 either.

The new sales org has a large amout of data too, so probably we should have to upload with full uploads and make a re initialization.

Another doubt i have is if we have to DELETE DATA FROM DATATARGET before doing the re initialization.

Hi,

In that case,

Following steps should help you for data load,

1. Delete setup tables ECC side.

2. Create setup table data with new organization ECC Side

3. Create info package with "Full repair request"

4. Load data into PSA

5. Execute DTP with new sales organization AR03 added into filter.

(Since you are on 7.x flow, this new request will have status not updated in DSO so next DTP execution will pick up this request not disturbing deltas. Also from this request onwards all records created/changed in ECC system with AR03 will be picked up by system as normal delta data and consistently updated in the DSO)

Ensure step 1 to 4 happens off-business hours.

Data deletion from data target is not needed.

Hi Kapadia,

I also have to upload the new data from the new sales org from the DSO into an infocube.

Due to the large amount of data I was thinking on doing several full uploads and then change the delta DTP within both sales org in order to upload from a certain data. Is that right?

Is there any way to calculate the size of the data i have to upload agaist the system time out?

Hi,

I would suggest not to split data load within BW system. Let the system identify new request( from data mart status ) in DSO and it will update to info cube via normal delta DTP setting.

You may increase info package timeout setting in order to prevent load status being in 'RED'.

How do you estimate how long will it take the upload if I have 500.000 records?

Hi,

Its hard to do estimation as there are lot of parameters like system performance, other parallel loads. However try loading sample set of data and do a math to arrive at approximate amount of time.

Hi Kapadia,

I´ve already loaded the sales org data into DSO since two days ago and it is right.

The thing is i´m testing in QA environment where i have similar information and volume of data of PRO system.

So, i changed the delta DTP that loads data from DSO into infocube adding to its filter the AR03 sales org.

It should retrieve 10977 records from DSO sales org AR03 but instead of that it is not retrieving any data. When i test it within a full DTP with the same filters it does.

Any clue on this?

Hi,

Check following

1. If the newly loaded and activated request in DSO has been already updated in the info cube

2. Display data info cube for this AR03 sales organization if it were fetched already .
